Sinner, the 2024 TRH Invincible?

The Italian Could Secure the Invincible TRH 2024 Title and Join the Elite of Tennis Greats in a Single Season

With his 69th victory in 75 matches played this year before the Finals, Italian Jannik Sinner has reached an impressive 92 % win rate. (We have included his wins over Medvedev, Djokovic, and Alcaraz at the Six Kings Slam since, although not part of the regular tour, these were serious matches).

 As previously explained in earlier posts, in the Tennis Race for History, we award the Invincible TRH (Tennis Race for History) title to the player who achieves at least 90% victories out of all matches played in a year, with a minimum of 50 matches.

 In the Open Era, only a few have managed to achieve this. Some have done it multiple times, but Jannik is still young and now has his first great opportunity.

 

A Flawless Season: The Path of Sinner

To chase the title, Sinner can only afford two losses in Turin and must win at least two more matches, meaning he needs to reach the semifinals with two victories in the round-robin stage. Three losses would make that 90% threshold unachievable.

 

The Final Challenge: Davis Cup in Malaga

To secure the 2024 TRH Invincible title, he can’t rack up more than two losses in the Davis Cup final phase in Malagawhile representing Italy (possible QF-SF-F) if he already had one from Turin. Should he reach the final phase with just one loss, he can afford one more. Otherwise, he’ll fall just short. In short, he needs to win at least three matches and avoid three losses.

Achieving this is within reach. This Invincible TRH title is reserved for only the greatest of champions.

By doing so, he would join the club of the chosen few.
