Sinner vs Alcaraz: the fire’s still burning

Alcaraz barely leads Sinner in the Tennis Race for History ahead of the Paris Masters. The year-end No.1 could be decided at the Nitto ATP Finals.

Carlitos Alcaraz is edging Jannik Sinner by a whisker in the Tennis Race for History (TRH) as we head into the Paris Masters finish line.

Alcaraz leads the 2025 ATP Rankings and sits just ahead of Sinner in the TRH standings (tennisraceforhistory.com), helped by the Italian’s suspension earlier this season.

Carlos is also on top in the ATP Race to Turin, holding a slim cushion (10,540 – 7,950). With Carlitos bowing out in R1, that gap could shrink quickly if Sinner lifts the Paris Masters trophy.

In short, the year-end World No.1 will likely be decided under the bright lights of the Nitto ATP Finals this November.
