We have unified, in the Tennis Race for History, the Doha and Dubai tournaments since they are two complementary tournaments that interchange the category every year. On even years Doha is a WTA 1000 and Dubai a WTA 500, and on odd years Doha is WTA 500 and Dubai WTA 1000. In our classification by points, a single tournament could distort the result unifying two different categories that vary each anus. This is a fairer way to consider our tennis players in these Middle Eastern tournaments.
Caroline Wozniacki leads the rankings until 2023, but the current No. 1, the Polish Iga Swiatek, could rise to 2nd place if she wins the current WTA 1000 in Dubai, once the 500 points from the Doha victory have been achieved. Justine Henin is the one with the most titles.
