Wimbledon had a undisputed king: Roger Federer, but Novak Djokovic today stalks his throne.  The Swiss is the one with the most trophies, the most victories and the highest score in The Tennis Race for History: 8 titles and 105 matches won, closely followed by Djokovic with 7 titles.

 

 In the ATP era (1990-2024) only Sampras comes close with 7 trophies and you have to go back to the open era (1968-1989) to find rivals.  Bjorn Borg could have been one, with 5 titles in a row, but a premature retirement at the age of 26 thwarted his unmatched numbers.

 

 In women, Serena Williams is the queen of the ATP era with 7 Championships, followed by her elder sister Venus, but in her case she is surpassed by Martina Navratilova in the OPEN era with 9 titles and equaled by Steffi Graf with 7 as well, while Billie Jean King stayed at 6.
