It’s time for the season’s last Masters 1000, where all eyes are on the two big names: Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, though Novak Djokovic won’t be making an appearance.

Last year, Nole clinched the No. 1 TRH Ranking spot at this very tournament, pretty much settling the GOAT debate in his favor.

Djokovic: The Undisputed King of Paris

In Paris Masters history during the ATP Era (1990–2023), Novak Djokovic stands as the undeniable king, leading in total points and titles: 7 trophies from 9 finals.

Next in line:

  • Marat Safin, with 3 titles.
  • Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi, with 2 each.
  • Roger Federer, with just 1, along with 19 other champions who have lifted the trophy once.

Of those, only Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev, Karen Khachanov, and Holger Rune remain active on tour, hoping to carve out their own Paris legacy.

A Stage of Legends and Records

The Paris crowd has witnessed some of the most remarkable moments in modern tennis:

  • Djokovic holds the record with 50 victories at the event.
  • Behind him: Tomas Berdych (27), Sampras and Safin (24), Federer (23), and Dimitrov and Nadal (22) — though Rafa never managed to claim this elusive title.
  • Other notable names include David Ferrer, Andy Murray, and hometown favorite Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (21 wins each).

The Paris Masters not only closes the Masters 1000 season, but also sets the tone for the upcoming Nitto ATP Finals, and could shake up the standings in the Tennis Race for History (TRH).
